Selene 49 at Dusseldorf boat show 2010

After an excellent Düsseldorf boat show in 2009 we will exhibit again at the Düsseldorf boat show 2010.

Last year we presented the Selene 60 with great success: she was subsequently nominated for the European Boat of the Year Awards to be presented at this years show.

This year we will show the Selene 49.

The Selene 49 is the flagship of the smaller range.

She is a CE-A certified ocean trawler with the same luxury and comfort as her bigger sister.

A perfect long distance cruiser which is affordable and ease to handle as a couple.

We are also proud to announce we will present a brand new design during the Düsseldof boat show, the Selene 86.

The Selene 86 is a beautiful result of the cooperation between Howard Chen and the Dutch

Yacht designer Guide de Groot.

Selene announce new 86 Ocean Explorer

“Selene have announced the launch of their new < Ocean Explorer > range as the group consolidates upon its successful “Ocean Trawler”‘ concept to move into the 24 M + category of displacement yachts.

The first offering in the new range is the Selene 86 “Ocean Explorer ” . The 86 is the result of an International collaboration of designers and architects under Howard Chen’s design team leadership. Howard Chen has worked closely with renowned Dutch architect Guido De Groot and a group of International consultants to develop a contemporary take on the long range yacht whilst capitalizing on builder Jet Tern Marines quality construction and reputation for experience and innovation in the displacement yacht sector.

A first look at the 86 shows a number of the Selene family traits with her powerful raised pilothouse, portugese bridge, and bulbous bow. But a contemporary twist is also apparent in the addition of the large side windows in the hull and Stainless anchor pockets. She is sure to appeal to existing owners and big boat enthusiasts alike and takes the simple and proven concept of the fuel efficient and seaworthy long range yacht to a new level of luxury that is intended to compete directly with the finest European yards but with all of the advantages of GRP. ”

Selene 60 nominated for European Powerboat of the Year Award 2010

We are proud to announce that the Selene 60 has been nominated for the European Powerboat Of The Year. The prestigious European Powerboat Award is an initiative of the leading European motorboat magazines: Barche a Motore (Italy), Boote (Germany), Neptune (France), Swissboat (Switzerland) and Yachtsrevue (Austria). This nomination is the result of two years of research and development by Jet-Tern Marine and Howard Chen’s International Design team. Many believe that they have succeeded to make the perfect long distance cruiser with all the ocean trawler aspects and the comfort of a super yacht. As always, the winner of the European Powerboat Award will be announced at a special event during the Dusseldorf Boat Show 2010

Selene Europe at the Cannes Boat Show

Selene Europe have successfully exhibited at the Cannes boat show Sept 9th til 14-th with four boats displayed.

Warm weather conditions and the presence of four stunning and recently delivered Selene Ocean Trawlers (66 62 59 43) ensured that the show held annually on the French Riviera was as an exciting event. The boats looked at home as usual amongst the glamour of the famous Cote d’Azur town where Selene has exhibited annually since 2002. New orders were received with many customers fascinated by the low fuel consumption of the Selene as well as her mix of luxury interior and excellent sea keeping.
